Forgiveness

Is it hard for you to forgive?

Recently I heard a very profound statement concerning forgiveness. "Not forgiving someone is like drinking the poison and waiting for the other man to die."

Think about this statement. Then, explain the meaning behind it.
Do you agree with the statement?




I do not understand exactly what the statement means, but yes, it is sometimes hard for me to forgive people. Most of the time I forgive people really easy because I know that they were just playing around and didn't mean any harm. However, their have been times when people do things that make me really mad. Usually when this happens I just try to get revenge rather than forgive them, this makes me feel a lot better.
