This afternoon I hopped aboard US Airways Airbus A320 and headed to Charlotte, North Carolina to enjoy my weekend. I planned on playing golf on the beautiful golf courses and I had tickets to see the Charlotte Bobcats play basketball. The flight was great at first, but then something terrible had happened very unexpectedly. All of a sudden I just heard a loud bang and the plane shook a bit. I could smell smoke, but I didn't really think anything of it at first. Soon after, we were told to brace for impact and we knew we were about to hit water. It turns out that we ran into a flock of geese and two of them got caught in the engine. We landed in the Hudson Bay, this water hazard was unlike any that planned on facing at the golf course. The water was freezing cold, but luckily all 155 of us managed to escape the plane safely.
